Which Phone Is Better iPhone Or Samsung?

by birtanpublished on November 21, 2020

I get one question over and over and over again well I get a lot of questions over and over and over again like can I buy you a phone which no I'm not going to buy you a phone I don't know who you are but I get other questions too one of which I always find strange whenever someone asks me because when you think about it there's actually more to it than what's being asked and I sometimes wonder if the person doesn't really realize this they're just looking for a simple answer to a fairly complicated question the question is should they buy an iPhone or should they buy a Samsung Galaxy now I'm gonna tell

You right now that's the wrong question to ask the right question is similar but not the same the real question asked it we didn't think I was gonna tell you before before I go into my ant you didn't think that come on for some of you you've been around for a while you knew better than that come on now let's get into it I'll tell you all about it right after this what please welcome back and for all you new people welcome my name is Travis and I do tech videos every single weekend have a blast doing them if that sounds like fun to you sit back relax and enjoy the video anything

I talk about will be in the description below but for now let's just get into the video so as I mentioned in the pre-interview buy an iPhone 12 for example or a Galaxy Note 20 or should you buy an S 20 an iPhone 11 that's not the question I think people want to know which phone is the best but there really isn't a good answer for that it's what phone is the best for you I think also when people try to think about this question they're actually wondering what the best hardware is but some of that is also irrelevant because the reality is the question you should be asking is

Should I get an Android phone or should I get an iOS phone once you figure that out the rest pretty much answers itself now I've done a couple of really cool surveys on this channel recently and I did two videos about them I'll leave links in the description below and in the end cards where I asked you how long you kept your phone and how much you paid for your phone the answers from that really kind of painted an interesting picture which helps kind of answer this question one of the pop answers for the how much did you pay for your phone was between 100 and 300

Dollars and one of the top questions for how long do you keep your phone is until it breaks now if you put those two people together those two answers together you got someone who buys like a $150 phone and holds on to it until it breaks that's interesting which pretty much disqualifies iPhones right out the gate especially you're talking about a new phone there are tons of different options from Android that are from between 100 and 300 dollars with varying you know varying capabilities some are good some are not I've actually covered a couple here definitely check those out

But I'll tell you this there aren't any any new iPhones in that price range if Apple ever decided to go down that far which I don't think they will it'll be a much different answer so then the answer is Android right not so fast while Android phones across the world are definitely the number one selling phones if you collectively talk about the operating system the iPhone 11 the iPhone 10 are are the best selling phone in the entire world largely because of how many phones they sell here in America they sell a tremendous amount of iPhones in America so if you're an

American the answer is iPhone right well again not really I mean it could be here's the thing if you're looking to hold on to a phone until it breaks an iPhone is actually your best bet especially if your phone's gonna last four to six years mainly because of how well Apple keeps their phones updated I've been talking about this for well over a year and some of you have heard me talk about this you're gonna be like on Travis here we go again but listen it bears repeating updates on Android are trashed compared to Apple they just are it doesn't matter what phone you own you

Have to admit they're getting two or three OS updates for $1000 phone is garbage when you can buy a $400 phone from Apple right now the iPhone se and get upwards of five or six years of updates already happening the original iPhone se is getting iOS 14 there's nothing you can say if you're an Android fan that makes that a worse thing than for Android it just there just isn't so I guess the answer is if you want long updates you should go with IO that seems reasonable but what if you like some other type of phone that is not an iPhone oh you you straight out of

Luck that's the problem with iOS is it's only on one type of phone and iPhone it's not on anything else so it's not like you're gonna get a Samsung iPhone you're not getting a folding phone until Apple comes out with one you're not gonna get a super inexpensive $200 phone with a great battery life in a decent processor for $200 that's brand new you're just not gonna do it not from Apple Android on the other side opens that up to a lot of manufacturers and while their updates are not entirely awesome the availability of different types of phones whether it be a gaming

Phone or phone that has cameras at the forefront or whatever it is there is a phone for everyone on the Android side of the fence absolutely positively an incredible amount of options and customization if you were totally into customization you have to choose Android there's no three ways about it you can customize an Android phone every single day of the week with not just a different wall paper which is darn near where it ends on an iPhone but like the icons the starting screen the launcher everything you can optimize and change

Everything on an Android phone and that's pretty darn cool and every single manufacturer on Android visualizes their experience differently in other words you might have something like oxygen OS which is incredibly smooth and clean or one UI – from Samsung a really great addition above and beyond stock Android now if you're willing to buy into an ecosystem in other words have multiple devices under one manufacturer you can do it with Samsung or Apple even Huawei and a couple other companies but none of them work as well as Apple sure Samsung has tablets and laptops they're

Basically on Windows and of course Android which is definitely not even optimized for tablets anymore listen this is this is there's nothing to this if you are looking to get more than one device from more than one manufacturers Apple end of story you're gonna pay to play though you're gonna pay you're gonna pay and if you are someone who likes to trade or sell their phones later on hi phones tend to hold their value substantially longer and that a substantially higher rate so that's another thing if you were someone who

Loves the trade in your stuff that's kind of an iPhone thing and when it comes to pictures and video I got to be honest – both about the same there's really neither one is better than the other you can say that sometimes the night mode is better on iPhone sometimes it's better on Android depending on the manufacturer and of course you can take the apk from the pixel and put it on just about any Android phone almost every single one so that's kind of a toss-up for me and of course Android will always have the cutting-edge hardware first like 5g so that's

Important to you that's pretty much a slam-dunk you definitely want to get Android and the next time that 6g and everything else comes out you definitely gonna want to get Android because apples never gonna be the cutting edge bleeding edge only that technology they let it come out and then they come out the first time semi perfected and listen I gotta take my hat off for them of that it's it's pretty good so what if you like a little bit of a in a little bit of B you you don't you don't get to choose that I'm sorry like this is this is it you either get an Android phone or

An iPhone let me help you actually make that final decision number one if you're gonna hold on to your phone for five to six years it's an iPhone I really can't tell you otherwise they're easy to get repaired if you need to there's tons of Apple stores all around especially we live in America they hold their value longer than Android phones that is not to be argued even a little bit and of course the updates over time are absolutely excellent but if you're one of the many in the world and including the US who don't want to spend a lot of money on a phone Android is absolutely a

Plus you can customize and do all the things I mean Android pretty legit but if you have a lot of friends who also have iPhones let me tell you right now there's nothing like being a part of an iMessage text group and all the different things you can do the emojis and all the things you can do on iOS especially if you have friends that have iPhones that's I mean that kind of answers that question if you have a large group of friends and family and have iPhones and you can afford it and iPhones the way to go but if you're a loner you don't care and that's nothing

That's important to you and emojis and emojis and all that crap doesn't mean anything to you but you like customization you'd like to be able to do whatever you want to with your phone and you like to have a different phone than everyone else in the room Android a hundred thousand percent is it plus the price ranges literally are from a hundred to like two thousand dollars with a galaxy phone literally like a hundred dollars to two thousand dollars and everything in between Apple you just get the same basic looking phone across multiple

Different price ranges it's just not that interesting and if you have a lot of Apple devices you're gonna love an iPhone I get it but Android from a dollar-for-dollar perspective is definitely the one most of you should get because here's the thing I think most people would be fine with an iPhone even if they don't like Apple the phones are amazing the battery life on the 11pro and Promax and even the 10r are excellent so that's not a concern the cameras are excellent the operating system is excellent the updates are excellent but the reality is

You have to spend so much more to get into the Apple ecosystem to really fully enjoy an Apple iPhone that for a lot of you especially the ones that have been telling me in my comment section that you're looking for a great budget and you just want to know what phone to get it's probably gonna be an Android phone maybe I mean you tell me in the comments below are you buying an Android phone or an iPhone and it really doesn't matter what year it is we can talk about ours 14 15 16 it doesn't matter both operating systems whether it be Android or iOS are gonna continue to get better

Absolutely better every single year and they're gonna take things from each other that's all aside it doesn't matter these are tools don't use them as weapons against each other please stop making things seem awkward between each other just because you chose a different phone than they did that's a dumb can we get away from that I just wanted to say that can we get away from that can we please get away from that by the way I just wanted to show you one thing this video right here is fire you need to watch it see you next time
