Use This Gadget…Then Trash It?
("Rocky" theme) – New video, new product. You got this, you're going to beat you're opponent. You're going to do it. Put me in coach! I'm ready, I'm kicked. Hey, what's up guys? Bill Nye, the science guy, here and what we're checking out is the second, nope, that's four, the second-coolest thing I have ever seen in my life. You guys wanna know what the first thing is, let me know in the comments. This right here is a disposable battery pack. They actually want you to throw it away so let's check it out. See you guys, this right here
Is a disposable battery pack. It is super cheap, especially for what you're gettin' so I'll leave a link down below and since we're being so environmentally friendly I want to try to hit 30,000 likes on this video and I'll consider being a vegetarian or a vegan, okay? You guys let me know in the comments which one you want but 30,000 likes and I will definitely consider it more than I ever have before. See, yeah, this thing's super simple. You actually get two in the box, which is insane, especially for what you're payin'. Definitely go check them out. You get some nice fun faces on here and I would love to know how much
This could charge your phone. This looks like something else that you'd pick up at like… I think you guys both know. You're picking up what I'm puttin' down here. It says you're going to get five hours of extra talk time and it lasts for five years so when the apocalypse happens throw a few of these in the safe, you're good to go. You're going to be juiced and you'll be the only one on Snapchat so that's always awesome. So let's go and open up one of these things here. I was so, I didn't believe that this was an actual thing. This seems like something you'd find in like Japan
Or something like really weird because you know I like my weird tech. I am the king of weird and all the girls I've ever talked to have called me weird. So that happened, but hey, you know what? I'm an independent person. Let me try to open this. Damn it, this environmentally friendly packaging (sighs). As Bill Nye the science guy, we need to make some changes. This is like actually difficult. Okay, that just happened. So you can see right here it's this little yellow brick and honestly, this is going to get you juiced if your phone dies at like a concert or you really need it.
Throw one of these in your backpack or your car, You're going to be good to go. You're going to be able to make that call, post on Snapchat, do what you gotta do. So it has a micro-USB tip, which most phones take. So what you have to do to get it to work for the iPhone is actually pick up (phone chimes) one of these micro-USB-to-Lightening adapters. I don't really know who's texting me but I know they really want one of these so just slot that on in there and do you see this thing? Most battery packs, they have like have a charge port or somethin'.
There isn't, they actually want you to throw it away. I've never been told to litter, or recycle or whatever, but they want you to. Alright, so we got my iPhone here, got it all ready. This is the switch you have to flip. So let's flip the switch. A red light comes on, so you know it's workin'. This is awesome, we need more of these. If you go to a concert, they need to hand these out. (phone chimes) I don't know who is texting me. (phone chimes) (slow-beat techno music) Um. Uh, it doesn't work for the iPhone.
Alright I'm back. It actually doesn't work with the iPhone. Only an idiot would say that. Pfft. I don't even know who would. So we got an Android phone. Yes, I do use Android by the way. So I'm going to show you it works. Got it on, okay. Bam, see that right there at the top, charger connected. Magic, dude this is awesome. Go to the festival, throw a few of these in your fanny pack. I rock a fanny pack on it daily. Bam, huck 'em when you're done. This is actually really cool.
See you guys, that's pretty much for this video. It's a super quick one. This is actually really awesome. This is one of the weird things that like I want you guys to buy.
