The Ultimate Intel i5 9600K / ASUS STRIX 2060 PC Build! (Benchmarks)

by birtanpublished on August 24, 2020

what's up everyone its mark from silence tech welcome back to a brand new video I hope you've all been keeping well today we're gonna be taking a look at Corsairs brand new case the 680 ex and all of the

Parts I've used for this build this PC was constructed just to show off the 680 X for instance I wouldn't have ever spent this much money on RGB lighting I would have much rather of sunk all of those funds into the best CPU and GPU

Possible although I have done several 1080 Ti and 20 Ti bills and reviews on the channel already so it was nice to check out the Strix 2060 from a sous that said considering the cost of this case I wouldn't say the GPU and all the

Other components was a good match ideally you would want with all these components at least an RT X 2080 in your shopping basket either way it's an absolutely stunning build and I can't wait to run through some of the parts

First of all let's check out course there's new RGB who knew it was coming Dominator platinum ddr4 in this build there's 32 gigabytes running at 3200 megahertz via XMP although I definitely want to

Spend a little bit more time overclocking as these can go way higher than 3200 megahertz built from forged anodized aluminium as they cost around 319 US dollars or 289 UK pounds they have a 10 layer PCB

Helping overclocking as well as tightly screened memory chips ensuring tight response times first of all I wasn't sure if I liked the new design mainly because of the individual addressable Capel X RGB LEDs running along the top

That was until I seen them in person some of the effects look amazing to the naked eye especially rain that particular effect suits Adam Platt RGB ease very well each led looks so clean and way brighter than anything I've seen

Before comparing them to the older Dominator Platinum's the RGB versions look modern are much more in keeping with courses current product lineup and they are my favorite set of ddr4 on the market

Right now next up for cooling this build has course at newest AIO installed the hydro h 100 i RGB platinum special edition this cooler allows me to overclock my 9600 k to 5 gigahertz on 1.3 5 volts while never hitting above 82

Degrees celsius on a single core it's a little hot for day-to-day usage so I'm going to pull it back fairly soon nevertheless coursers h 100 I was keeping my CPU temps as low as possible this particular SE model comes with 2 ll

Series RGB fans and it's great to see it ships with these because they're very high quality and the rest of the fans used in this build are also the ll series and it all hooked up to a commander Pro so I can use my software

To control all of the RGB lighting other main differences of this cooler on the visual side is now it comes with 16 individual addressable LEDs lighting up the front of the CPU cooler and this Corsair logo compared to the previous

Model where you could only select a single individual color that in itself has improved the look of this cooler immensely installation is quick and super easy from the bolts to the mounting brackets and even the perfectly

Aligned thermal paste Corsair have refined the H 100 eye over many many years to what it is today an extremely easy product to install that's reliable and suitable for extreme overclocking that'll last for many years or until

Next year when they released even better sleeker version that tempts you to spend even more money moving on to the motherboard is the Republic of gamers Maximus X hero from a soos featuring the LGA 1151 sockets but in cell a10 CPUs

And you're probably wondering why I'm using a knife gen CPU but these motherboards actually work perfectly well with a CPU the only problem is you'll need to update the BIOS first using an 8th gen CPU like that 8600 k

For example so I wouldn't recommend doing this you'll be much better off buying compatible parts it just so happens that a su sent this board out afterwards and I found a great deal online for a 96

Okay so it couldn't resist the motherboard itself has synchronized LED RGB backlighting and it also syncs up with other issues components using or a sync with support for addressable RGB LED strips there's a cool MDOT –

Heatsink and I love how it's situated above where the GPU resides allowing you to access its even with the GPU installed plus this board comes with a rear CMOS and BIOS flash back button a host of USB 3.1 ports SATA 6 ports for

The money it offers great bang for buck now moving on to the crystal series 6 ATX RGB let's compare it to my other case I'm using for my main build the 570 X also from Corsair honestly at this point I'm undecided which one I'd prefer

The most the 680 X is quite a bit more expensive at 249 US dollars or 219 UK pounds definitely let me know in a comment section which one out of these two you actually prefer the main parts I love is how am i RM 850 X PSU is

Situated around the back of the case allowing me to mount an additional two fans at the rear this has huge potential for SLI setups since there's no PSU shroud the bottom card will have a lot more breathing room not to mention how

Good it will look I'm literally looking at both bills pondering daily wherever I should switch my two GPUs over from my 570 X build to this one especially since they're both painted whites as you've noticed I've mounted the Strix 2060

Vertically in the 680 X I believe don't quote me on this this is course there's first ever case you were able to do this hence why I'm showcasing this particular feature in this build would I recommend keeping your GPU like this for a long

Period of time hell no it's far too close to the glass even if your attempts you've decided to monitor by a software like MSI Afterburner look good there could be multiple other components that could be getting hotter than your mouth

After a vindaloo laced with ghost peppers seriously though just pick up a vertical mounting brackets cable mod for instance – a very good one that said it's a nice feature to have and I'm glad that

Corsair has incorporated it into their case another area where this case really shines is cable management so there's so much room in the back and I didn't even need to bother with much cable management myself in this build and it

Still looks pretty decent grommets are everywhere and there's no signs of anything rushed the bottom of the case has multiple cutouts to route the front IO cables Mountain fans is super easy with this case as well with the included

Bracket for the front and top with room for triple 120 millimeter or 140 millimeter fans at the front and dual fans at the top speaking of the top there's also plenty of clearance to allow for high profile ddr4 any ddr4

Actually on the markets rounding off the case I feel the dual chamber design looks fantastic although looking at from the front on I feel the right side does look a little plain the Corsair logo would have looked awesome if it could

Have somehow been RGB on the front are you ports may have looked a little better or cleaner if they were behind some sort of flap that said the case looks so good in person especially with the RGB effects

I'm just nitpicking there I absolutely love this case and I'm gonna definitely be using it as probably my main build when I can be bothered to swap all of my components over well I guess wrapping up this video now I'll just show you some

Benchmarks as previously mentioned this build was built just to showcase the 680 X so we will show case temps while playing some of the latest games but I'll be nice to see how the Strix 2060 and 9600 K perform

so there you have it guys I hope you've enjoyed the video I'm extremely happy with the 680 X and the build in general even if the CPU and GPU are slightly underpowered when you consider all of

The other components and how much they cost I will leave you now I hope you've enjoyed the video I shall see you a very soon my name is Mark from silence tech good bye

you
