Thanks S20! But I’m Switching Back to Note10+…

by birtanpublished on December 5, 2020

So I've been using the as 20 for about a month now and I'd be lying if I said I haven't thought about going back to the Galaxy Note 10.1 out of fact I have and back to the North 10 plus and a big reason for me is the s-pen but then I thought for a lot of people who are out to upgrade from their note 10 to the s20 might be thinking should I do that or those who are thinking about buying a new phone might be thinking should I get him note 10 + or shall I get the S 20 + or the note 10 and the F 20 well I'm here to sort of help you with that and what's important is to look at the price chart first to understand both the note

10 and the note 10 + are cheaper than the F 20 counterparts so what is the additional money the s20 can get you well in theory a lot of things you know you can improve processor faster RAM improved camera optics you get a 120 Hertz refresh rate display and you get a 2x capacitive touchscreen in theory this is quite a lot but practically speaking you may not experience that much of a difference and let's talk about that for two or three minutes and let me start with performance oh and guys before we move on I'm trying to reach 200,000 subscribers so it'll be great if you

Could drop a like hit the subscribe button and that Bell icon it really helps me grow and sustain the channel and real quickly I've got the Exynos versions of both the phones so the note 10 is rocking the Exynos nine eight to five and the s20 is rocking a 990 and let's also clear any recent apps so you know you can just quickly test launching a few games and see how much time they both take and starting with babji I mean I'm just taking some games that I feel or slightly intense it takes time to you know fully load itself onto the phone so I've started one fold on the note 10 as

Well as the s20 and oh yes by the way that is a note 10 plus so just if in case that information matters now Wireless 20 seems to be working a bit faster it did but it's really just a matter of one second you know the note 10 did it at 19 and the s20 at 18 and now I've launched asphalt 9 it seems like wow this is pretty interesting the s20 took a little longer to load maybe if I did this again it would save that one second but anyway the note 10 seems to be leading in on this one and the s20 is just about two seconds later so yeah just just to give you an idea so

As you could see it that even when you're launching high intense games the difference is pretty insignificant and now think about your daily routine you know you're opening what phone dialer Instagram whatsapp Facebook how much of a difference could it really make realistically speaking not much and come on guys the Galaxy Note tensile has last year's best processor that's still pretty great so you may wonder what's all the fuss about why does the Galaxy S 20 say it's got better processor well because it does it's more capable actually for example it can shoot 8k

Videos at 24 frames per second the note series just cannot do that right now because the processor is not capable but then again 8k videos are you gonna shoot as much if even if you do where are you going to display it gave footage so you see you may not use it so much okay so that takes care of performance and now let's move over to camera and here are some pictures that I took from both the phones at the same time at the same angle can you really say that one is better than the other I mean as long as the lighting is good enough I think both the cameras are almost equally capable

And I really can't tell which one is from the f20 and which one is from the node 10 because they both look really good to me and what does that tell you that tells you that majority of the times when you know the lighting is just about decent you would pretty much get the same out of both the cameras and then there's that feature of space zoom which is you know 30 X in the s 20 and then there's 100 X on the s 20 ultra but guys again are you going to really end up using that feature as much I mean until you're in though in a shady spying business maybe but overall generally I

Hate zooming in because it deteriorates quality so much even with the space zoom so I kind of think it's I don't think it's a big feature and it's certainly not a criteria to discard the note 10 over the s20 and most other features have made it to the galaxy note 10 and the note 10 plus with a 1 UI 2.1 upgrade you know features like single take pro video and night mode in hyperlapse video even the front cameras can now shoot 60fps videos both in 1080p and 4k quality just like the galaxy has 20 phones and now let's talk about the touch experience and I'm saying touch

Experience and not display because both the phones have pretty good displays their broad dynamic AMOLED there both are really high resolution crisp very saturated colorful vivid and all of that really bright but the s20 has got a 120 Hertz refresh rate and a 2x capacitive touch screen which means it's extremely responsive and it's really fluid it's really smooth and that's something that the Galaxy Note series just cannot deliver I mean it's a hardware limitation but having a high refresh rate and a 2x capacitive touchscreen is not imperative to productivity or

Performance of the phone it's just a nice feel good feature just it just sort of gives you a good experience of using your phone but yeah it's just a nice good to have thing but then the note has the s-pen that the s20 cannot compete with because it doesn't have the s-pen now I know popular opinion is that the s-pen is pretty useless or that it's got gimmicky features very honestly guys it's extremely useful especially in my line of work now I have done a video talking about you know all the kinds of uses of the s-pen it's somewhere on the top right corner so you can pretty much

Go and get ideas but it's a big big reason for me to switch back to the Galaxy Note series oh and I'm not touching upon the building the design I think both the phones are really beautifully crafted they use really premium materials they feel really good in the hand and they're all comparable sizes so pretty much equal points to both when it comes to build quality and size but when it comes to economics okay I'm gonna have to give this to the s20 because it's got a slightly rounded softer curved edges is compacted the note series which is got a rectangular

Build but that's sort of signal not designed and it it's its own distinguishing feature so I don't know whether you have preference of one over the other I kind of love both and I have no issues in using either so to answer your question should you upgrade from the north 10 series to the s 20 no it's not worth it and I think you have a pretty good phone at hand but if you're out to buy a new phone I think the s 20 just for that incremental price I think it gives you a bit more and it's definitely the way to go but yeah if you're looking for value for

Money then you can still go ahead and buy a new note 10 series phone it will be good value for money and you still you know have a great phone at hand but yeah if I had to really buy a new phone I'll just go for the s20 it's not a whole lot expensive over the note 10 anyway thank you for watching guys if you've got any questions feel free to comment them in the section below and as always don't forget to hit that like button subscribe to my channel hit that Bell icon thank you for watching and I'll see you in the next one
