STEELSERIES APEX M750 Gaming Keyboard Review.

by birtanpublished on September 23, 2020

What's up guys it's mark from solid tech today we're checking out the SteelSeries apex M 750 mechanical RGB gaming keyboard still series have priced the M 750 at 118 US dollars and 125 99 UK pounds so while it's certainly not cheap it's a little cheaper than some of the

Other RTP mechanical keyboards on the market from the likes of Corsair and razor but what does the keyboard have to make it stand out from the crowd and are already oversaturated markets well at a glance nothing at all there's no

Discrete media Keys it doesn't have a volume rocker wrist rest a USB pass-through and there's no cherry MX speed switches either instead SteelSeries have opted for qx2 switches housed in a translucent shell which are

Modified gutter on switches built for both speed and comfort the q x2 switches are very similar to cherries MX Reds offering a linear travel an extremely quick spring back the overall typing experiences in fact really good and I

Couldn't notice much difference using them while typing or gaming over a cherry switch that was until I use the spacebar backspace and enter keys they have an extremely cheap ratalie hollow sound and feel rather disappointing

Considering the overall asking price for gaming the keys are fine and I never felt to any disadvantage swapping from more expensive keyboard to this each key is extremely responsive I also really love the key spacing especially not once

Did I ever hit any of a key by mistake my only concern with the qx2 switches is how long they will last compared to a more established switch from the likes of cherry moving on to the build quality it has an aluminium or aluminum of front

Plates giving the keyboard a lot of strength it doesn't flex or bend at all strangely underneath SteelSeries have opted for rubber feet to elevate the keyboard an extra a longer set can be found in the

Box I found these difficult to swap outs and plus just moving the keyboard about made them come loose and I can see a fair few corners cut with this keyboard but the cost don't seem to be passed on to the buyer with all those issues aside

I don't think anyone can deny how good the keyboard looks it's also a lot more compact compared to a lot of other full-size keyboards at 17.5 inches across the SteelSeries logo gives the keyboard a more premium look without it

There's nothing really unique about this keyboard at all even the cable isn't braided the unit just doesn't seem to reflect its overall asking price moving on SteelSeries have always impressed me with their software integration and it

Breathes much-needed life into the apex M 750 you're able to reprogram every single key to your liking from macros to pacific profiles for particular games and of course you can customize the RGB LED lighting and you can also sync other

SteelSeries devices together the RGB lighting options on this keyboard are endless with some very cool x+ you're able to use the backlighting for games like csgo dota and minecraft although it has been a long time since

Still series have added any new games into its software that said the lighting options are quite useful on a keyboard for those particular games for new players veterans not so much more of a distraction than anything else rounding

The review off now guys the apex M 750 has a no frills minimal approach and I do get those aimed straight towards eSport players but it's price tag it doesn't do it any justice the market is already so oversaturated with gaming

Keyboards there's nothing really about it that makes me want to sing its praises it's a good keyboard nevertheless it's just something about it doesn't really stand out to me that's like wow I absolutely love this keyboard

And it sure do all the price anyway guys so I hope you've enjoyed the review my name is Mark from silenced tech goodbye
