Smartphone Fanboys Ultimately Destroys the Brand

Hi there this is Ranji that in this video let's talk about this topic that is called fanboy ISM that is happening a lot and actually wanted to make this video earlier also but I didn't because I feel this video will hurt some people but again I feel that my job is not to please everyone but to state the facts and what is happening and guys have been in this industry for a very long time if you guys actually don't recall from 2007 I had to take side call take the bus have closed it and in fact I started working on this channel from mid of 2010 the first video I posted was in January 2011

So almost this channel will be almost 10 years and half we tested a lot of smartphones from a lot of presents and have seen this smartphone fanboy ISM some people defending that brand no matter what and ultimately what happens is that prank goes down to the drain let me actually give you some relevant examples let's first talk about Sony smartphones and if you recall Sony was such a big and it's still a very big electronic brand and in smartphones in early what do you say 2010 2012 13 14 they were big and they launched a lot of smartphones and there was a lot of huge

Fanboys of Sony whatever product they used to release they used to different for example many of the in fact if you search my channel and you'll see that I've reviewed dozens and dozens of Sony smartphones also but most of them actually had inherent problems and whenever I used to highlight their eyes to get a backslash from sony fanboys for example many of the Sony phones had terrible heating issues the thermal efficiency is simply not that day also when we talk about cameras we used to expect that the Sony smart phones should have the best cameras because the Saudi

Sensor was actually used in many of the other competing brands like Samsung HTC but the results were very different this samson's and the HTC used to produce better pictures the problem was that though Sony was using the great sensors on the smart phone the hardware was great they simply did not put that much effort in image post-processing which you guys know is so important so these are some inherent problems with Sony smartphone but whenever was reviewed it and talked about the flaws these farmers attacked us and

Stuff like that used to have it is to have severe heating issues camera was not created or priced I would say for that and ultimately see what has happened there's a Sony smartphone division though the fan was used to defend it a lot ultimately it's no longer there in the industry yes they do launch one or phone here and there but hardly any traction so I mean though it's such a big brand with such a big brand loyalty it's simply gone and I think so that's the problem with the fanboys they don't get critical when the company is doing

Something wrong that these fanboys should be also critical about the flaws you can't just keep on releasing one phone after the other with the same flaw again and again eventually if you do that what will happen the brand goes down and next let's talk about this iconic brand that is nope here we know nokia have grown up with nokia I had many of their Asha phones xpressmusic phone in fact I'm a fan of Nokia for example if you recall this is the revamped Nokia 3310 when it came out I got this so I mean I like Nokia as a brand and they had moved eventually 200

And I was very excited and I reviewed quite a few of their Android smartphones though they were good but again I felt and guys this Nokia is very different this Nokia is actually hmd global this is a Chinese company and handsets are manufactured in China I like the fact that they are still sticking to Android stock Android that is there but again they are trying to milk the original Nokia brand their smartphones were actually pretty expensive for example I reviewed quite a few I liked it but mostly in my reviews I said that the prices can be competitive because in a

Market like India which is a very huge market for Android smartphones you've got to be competitive if you're not that you would that's the reason that Nokia don't everybody loves it you love it I love it I like it for stock Android we hardly see it and for example if you recall I also had to review the last Nokia phone if I recall I reviewed the don't care 8.1 and I was blunt about it it was priced at about 28,000 I said that the phone is ok fine but at the pricing of thousand it's simply not value-for-money I was I said that it should be priced

Highlighted many of the Nokia fanboys actually started attacking me so again this is the problem that I have that fanboys defend a brand but don't different– it lightly that the brand just tries to look at the fanboys and tries to defend itself what happened to Nokia right now yes it's there they do release a smartphone but what is the percentage of the market that they are having they're hardly having any market so they have to really concentrate on things like they have to be competitive in the pricing they can't just have that Nokia tagline in the brand name and

Charge a huge premium they have to look at what other competitors are doing if they don't do that simply they will continue to lose the market and that one two position of the fanboys can't defend your market you have to look overall as the market that is the problem that I have with Nokia and you simply can't charge a bomb and just after six months reduce the price to half that that simply like destroys the what do you say brand value that you have so again that's the problem with Nokia let's now move to a recent one for example this is about one class and if you guys think

Pricing and meaner again especially in the Indian market which is very price competitive they will lose the market and I think so they realized that with the oneplus the new one the oneplus 8 Pro if you guys recall the base period of the oneplus a prom in us is nine hundred US dollars and guys we always mistake in us this dollar pricing does not include tax so that you have to add tax so if you just take the price of the nine hundred dollars also in India and India every manufacturer has to pays the GST on the phone that is 18 percent so if you add eighteen percent to that

Nine hundred dollars and converted Indian rupees let's say the u.s. dollars is about seventy five the pricing comes to seventy nine thousand six hundred and fifty but what did one plus two they realized if they do that stupidity and launch it at that price point they will lose the entire time finally some sense came to them and they price it at fifty five thousand which is actually twenty four thousand less than the international market so again I feel now oneplus is trying to get back they have realized that just swing away hopefully other brands also understand that so I

Hope it continues they don't just jack up the price again with the oneplus 80 Pro or whatever so that's regarding the one pass but now let's come to some of the mid-range smartphones in India and I'm seeing a lot of fanboys on here that is happening we are having what is a fan clubs like may I read me fan what is that real me fan what are the stupidity happening let's talk about xiaomi redmi phones and if you guys recall in the past one and a half years the ad situation started in the me when i was okay with it okay yes giving some ads and all but

Recently in the past couple of months what i'm seeing the ads and the video recommendations that are coming it's very sneaky at almost semi new content these guys are pushing and which is simply not acceptable here recently i had reviewed the redmi note 2 nine pro and many times when you just swiping up i got some soceity hats it is disgusting imagine and stuff like this when you're just in your family and you swipe like this you see stuff like this and your parents etc then what is the image that you have and i don't get it how these what do you say me fanboys are accepting

And defending that they say that you can go into this in that setting and disability by default when you disable the options when you get on the settings I have done all that then also I got the axe yes you can go deep inside the setting setting setting setting and you get at can disable some of the options but it's completely not disabled because with a new update Xiaomi tries to push new kind of content from somewhere else so it's a cat and mouse game and this does not work if you are tech savvy gets that one to person who you are actually watching

Are tech savvy to go that route or even install a custom ROM and completely remove the menu why crap but I can't imagine what is the situation about 95% of the users and elders and parents who buy a ready phone they will experience the stuff and is that acceptable and me is able to just do this because the main fanboys the redmi fanboys are defending it stop defending a brand that much that what what is acceptable tomorrow they just usually made us somewhere else online and is that acceptable right now they're showing almost semi-nude what he says stuff

Video recommendations and stuff like that is that acceptable imagine the level and this has to stop and they are continuing to do this because that there is a small percentage of that mean fan read my fan etc who try to defend it in fact I would say that inside the Xiaomi family we have the poco brand but the poco brand of that we don't get like this in fact I had met a man Mohan and I asked him more specifically will the poco get shitty stuff like what we are seeing and read me the ad recommendations the shed he said he said that no we don't do that

I don't that is the reason on PO though it's using the me why you don't get that so it's that on poco they took a decisions of not having that crappy stuff but what about the red means stuff that most of the users buy they are getting that stuff so it's up to your fanboys you guys are accepting this crap and everybody is getting and this shady stuff of ads and stuff is increasing now for example Samsung has started some sort of recommendations but it's not as bad as what the Xiaomi is doing even real me has done it but at least they have an

Option of right now one click and you get it disabled so I hope you mean a fanboy or Rebney fanboys whatever you kill guys to call it I like to call stop defending it and then things like this happen it is plain wrong simple as wrong it simply does not have to come and in fact if me is putting out at they should have a division there in their firm where every ad whatever is approved or that video recommendation is approved it has to be approved by a person and the simple logic they have to use is that person okay if his parents see that ad or that

Video if it's a few thinks that's okay then it should be allowed otherwise it should simply should not be allowed this is not acceptable because if we continue to support the it is getting shittier and shittier invent and at where when it starts now in fact I really hit the point of these brands these brands are very smart they have created things like that me fanboy read me fanboy real me has also standard fanclub what is the stupidity while defending branch and they put out these fanboys in front and they try to fight stuff and

That is not the solution because that is a very tiny group we are defending the brand and stupidity what they are doing and simply these guys are very vocal on social media so everybody looks at them and the brand thingsö means one or two percent of the people are like okay with that so let's continue and let's keep on doing short end but eventually what will happen what happened to big companies like Nokia Sony etc whereas the majority of the population is fed up of the discs and once they there is a picking point everywhere there once the the general population say is that

Enough is enough then your brand is destroyed and coming back out of this is very difficult because the kind of stuff that you are getting on me you I the recommendation and stuff is really really bad it is borderline illegal stuff that they are pushing out anyway so I hope if you are a fan by of a particular what do you say brand think about defending a brand if a brand is doing something wrong be vocal about it just don't be blind to them and just start defending in every aspect because if you do that eventually the brand will fall down because it'll
