Samsung Galaxy A71 Vs Oppo Reno 3 Pro Practical Comparison

by birtanpublished on November 26, 2020

Hi guys this is ranjeet and in this video let's do a practical comparison between the oppo renault 3 versus the samsung galaxy a71 and these uh are sort of premium mid-range smartphones and they are priced very close to each other so let's have a closer look at the safe and as you can see guys uh both of them are actually having a uh amoled screen in fact the samsung has a super amoled screen whereas the oppo has a regular amoled screen and both are actually good but one thing that i noticed is that on the samsung it's a bigger screen as you

Notice 6.7 inch screen that you're getting and again samsung generally puts very good amoled screen so that we are finding and this one also has that amoled screen and again both are actually really good but again i like the fact that we are having a slightly bigger screen on the samsung hence it's actually much better to consume content uh regarding weight both are close to each other just five gram difference

But in terms of uh what do you say uh the depth uh actually the samsung is slightly uh narrower i would say in the department it's actually the samsung is having a 7.7 mm whereas the open slightly thicker at about 8 mm now moving on i would say both of them have the amoled screen as i told you and both of them have that always on display option and that works well we have the in display fingerprint scanner and here i would say i'm neutral both of them actually work pretty well

Uh but one place i noticed that the samsung goes ahead and i'm happy that samsung implemented this on the a71 because generally they keep this feature only for their higher end series the flagship s and the note series we do have the full version of the samsung pay on this one so you can add your credit cards and stuff and just tap on the machine and do the payment uh something like that is simply not present on the oppo and yes of course uh

The samsung also has uh the full nfc support so that's a big deal i would say anyone if you have used any samsung phone you know that how useful that samsung pay feature is right so we have that full functionality of the same uh next if we talk about the processor the samsung is having the snapdragon 730 uh soc which is based on eight nanometer process this is also octa core processor whereas the oppo went with the mediatek uh helio p95 this is also octa-core but this is based on the older process

That's 12 nanometer i would say uh don't get me wrong the performance even on this oppo is actually really good uh but i feel uh we prefer snapdragons and uh the performance of this one is also very good it's a well optimized uh what do you say uh phone and because of the eight nanometer process i felt the battery life i was getting was better on this and this is one thing uh uh that advanced users might appreciate if you are into that custom rom in

Something then the snapdragon variants will offer you a lot more flexibility that's not the case with the media deck socs now i'm going to another thing is that both of them fortunately have expandable storage with microsd card you can expand but i noticed that the maximum limit for some reason on the oppo is just 256 gigabytes of microsd card whereas it's 512 gigabytes so i feel uh that can also be a big factor uh moving to comfort i feel both of those

Smartphones are very comfortable to actually hold uh so that way i'm like pretty neutral about it now but moving to the battery here i'm surprised that the oppo is having smaller battery that's a 4025 milliamp hour whereas the samsung is having a 4 500 milliamp hour battery and in practical usage i would say definitely i was getting much better battery life on the a71 compared to the oppo and the reason for that is that eight

Nanometer process because of snapdragon 730 uh soc is very power efficient so i would say uh if you forget uh charging this a71 next day you don't have to be worried that much but here i would say this is sort of everyday charge phone uh chargers uh we get a 25 hot fast charger here we get a 30 watt fast charger now moving to uh another thing is uh cameras again cameras are very important these days on

Smartphones and here again as you can see both of them have a quad camera set up the main camera is actually that 64 megapixel shooter again both have ultra wide options uh to give you a practical idea i took some sample shots side by side so here are some of the samples taken side by side with both these smartphones and i would say both of them are actually doing a good job but in outdoor shots if you notice the samsung i

Felt was doing the white balance slightly better and also got that color punch a little bit right again both are good but again i felt the samsung had a slight edge in the camera department now with the software changes i've noticed that the samsung comes with the one ui 2.1 and because of that it actually has some ai enhancement so let's look at that and the first one i noticed is in the search and this is actually known as universal our live search and as you can see this

Is the app thing but here you can search for anything for example let's say biryani why not let's search for that and it's going to search from apps where you can find it and also uh it'll if you have set up zomatos wiki etc it'll go deep into that and get your results so this is sort of unique and i think so this can be helpful another small thing that i noticed on samsung and this is known as smart ai crop for example there's the gallery and let's say this is the picture that we have taken

And if we just zoom in the smart ai crop let's say you want this picture like this and you just see this icon if you just press this it's actually taking out a different picture and now if i go back to the gallery as you can see it has saved this as a new picture so again this is also a very useful thing that you have on the samsung also moving to sms if you have a lot of sms again the ai implementation is there even on sms and it adds actually smart cards to

Make your life easy and also in terms of the keyboard that is supplied default it is also multilingual and there are also some you have some ai if you're using uh stuff like regional languages or english etc it aids you uh so these are some of the things that i noticed with the samsung ui 2.1 on the a71 uh those sort of ai is not present on the oppo but anyways guys i feel both are actually very good android smartphones but you've got to decide which one is

Better for you i feel the samsung goes ahead uh slightly because of that samsung pay works with credit cards debit cards also the battery life that i got was slightly better on the samsung and again we have that snapdragon soc on this one but again uh you decide which one is better for you anyways guys that's it for now thanks for watching this is ranjit and i hope to see you in my next video take care guys
