Raijintek Asterion Classic Aluminium Midi Tower Tempered Glass PC Case Review.

by birtanpublished on April 16, 2021

Hello everyone its mark back again with another review unfortunately this one's a little bit later than planned because MSI sent out some whiskey for Christmas unfortunately my weeks gone downhill from there on in but today we are checking out the awesome tempered glass case from Raja Tech that ass Tyrion classic aluminium MIDI tower I know I know it doesn't have the coolest name you'll ever hear but what it does bring to the table is style with its smoked tempered glass side panels aluminium or aluminum frame and its minimalistic design pricing the case comes in at 150 to 99 UK pounds one hundred and sixty

Three euros and in the US I haven't got a clue because I couldn't find it listed anywhere okay guys so let's jump into its features and specs the front is one of the nicest pieces of slightly brushed aluminum or aluminium you've ever seen around the edges there's also a slightly tapered edge that joins to the rest of the case flawlessly straight off the bat this case seems extremely high quality the power button is integrated into the front panel and has a seriously satisfying tactile balm but if we move on and look at the top the front IO is well placed from right to left there's

Two USB ports a headphone and microphone jack and another two USB ports now these can either be attached to your motherboard to be used as USB 2.0 or USB 3.0 it's a real nice feature and a nice choice to have just to note the case doesn't have a reset switch or a hard drive indication LED the top of the case has a non magnetic honeycomb dust filter that clips into place it isn't completely sealed around the edges but it still should do a decent job of stopping dust settling on your PC components the finish of the metal used at the top like the front panel is also

Extremely high-quality although it has a much smoother finish checking out the 5 millimeter thick tempered glass side panels both of them are heavily smoked without any LEDs inside of the case you probably wouldn't be able to see any of your PC components personally I don't like the panels this dark as surely it contradicts the whole point of having glass side panels in the first place to show of your components that said I'm pretty sure that some white LEDs or maybe a NZXT hue plus you'll be able to show off your components no problem at all taking

Off the side panels is really easy and hassle-free as a glass rests on rubber grommets when undoing the four bolts you don't have to worry about the tempered glass falling even with the bolts removed as a glass just seems to stay in place as long as the case doesn't fall too far forward of course also the bolts they've used to have a real short thread so you won't spend ages and screwing the bolts every time you want to access the PC seems like Raja tech have really thought about every aspect of this case removing the side panel and looking inside and the first thing you'll notice

Is how well laid out everything is up top this ample room for a cirrus befit grad as is around 50 millimeters of clearance you'll be able to fit a to 40 to 80 and 360 millimetre rod as well as free 120 millimeter fans for motherboards the Asteria n– allows for an e ATX ATX micro ATX and mini ITX to be installed to the right of the case there is also multiple grommet holes and mounting points for reservoirs this could be a great case for water cooling bills at the front of the case just like the top you can fit either a two 40 to 80 or 360 millimetre radiator and free

120 millimeter fans there's also great clearance in my build I fitted free Corsair AF 120 s although the case does come included with two fans pre-installed one neat feature with the included fans is that they come with two connections a free pin to go to all of your motherboards fan headers or a molex connection allowing you to hook them straight up to your power supply ran in PWM by daisy chaining them together although if you do connect these fans up to your motherboard the molex connection is going to look pretty and slightly hanging off like this front airflow well

There isn't any with this case and it's a little worrying at first to fort the vents on the side allow air to be passed through but of course when it's the tempered glass is installed there isn't going to be any way for the air to get through the front fans are mounted with a remove or bracket that sits about an inch away from the front panel so it's my guess that the front fans receive a little air from the top and bottom of the case but either way expect poor airflow from the front fans and unfortunately this is a part of the case that was designed with

Aesthetics in mind rather than performance checking out the back of the case you'll have the option of fitting either 120 millimeter or 140 millimeter rod or fan you'll have no trouble also running SLI with this case as it has eight expansion slots installing a GPU in this case is kind of awkward as you have to remove a bracket at the back of the case first although you can just leave it off entirely if you always swapping out GPUs a lot the case comes with a PSU cover that doesn't stretch all the way to the front as they've tried to leave plenty of room

For a thick rat also the cover isn't sealed off leaving the wires or the hard drive cage exposed on the top of the cover you can install two 2.5 inch SSDs or one SSD and one 3.5 inch hard drive is the completely toolless design installing the drives is extremely easy as well as removing them later on down the road taking a look inside the PSU cover there's a removable two slot 3.5 inch hard drive cage which takes up a lot of room the installation method for installing a PSU is a little awkward you need to remove the rear plate on the back of the case then attach it to the

PSU with the included bowls then push it through the back once installed there isn't too much room for all those cables with the hard drive cage installed but luckily there's plenty of room elsewhere in the back underneath the case there is a dust filter for your PSU looking closely isn't completely sealed at least on my version so air is going to pass through unfiltered also that isn't a lot of clearance as a cases feet are very small so it highly recommends if you buy this case and are thinking of putting it on a carpet to install the PSU upside-down cable management in the back

Is excellent just to show you how good it is I only used two zip ties and it still looks pretty clean okay I only use two zip ties because I run for them but my point still stands you can make the cables look super clean in the back if you spent a little bit more time than I was allowed there's multiple cable tie down points and areas around the sides of the case at least 40 millimeters wide to tuck away those unsightly cables at the back of the case there's also another area like the PSU cover for mounting a third SSD which is also tooless so that about wraps up the

Austere ian's features and specifications over all the cases excellent although a wonder at its price points whether it will be able to compete with the likes of the fantex evolved it's not that is anything wrong with the case far from it it screams high quality four out it's just the market is a little bit oversaturated that said PC builders looking for something a little different from the norm and want to get that what case is that reaction from their friends I can highly recommend the austere Ian from Raja Tech is seriously well-built with

Zero flex and anyone thinking of picking up this case it will last you a very very long time but anyway guys girls I hope you've enjoyed the review of the Asteria inform Raja Tech my name is mark from silenced Tech goodbye
