Make Your Own Brown Sugar! | Cupcake Jemma

hi guys and welcome to crumbs in doilies HQ now one of my very favorite things to bake with is brown sugar and I use it in quite a lot of my recipes like for example these caramel cupcakes but some of you have told me that you find it

Quite difficult to find it where you are so this Tuesday tip is how to make your own version of brown sugar and Sally's gonna show you how to make it over to you Sally cool so this is a really simple recipe

And it's a great substitute if you can't find brown sugar I've got some white granulated sugar here and some molasses or treacle what I'm gonna do is put 250 grams of that into my food processor if you don't have a food processor you can

Do this with your fingers in the vault just take a little bit longer and then we're going to add two teaspoons of molasses into the sugar and then just pop the lid on and we're just going to turn that on into it's all completely

Combined so what we're doing is adding that lovely treated caramel flavor back into our white sugar and this is going to be perfect for things like cookies brownies

Salted caramel cupcakes also so after three to four minutes of mixing you'll see that the sugar and the treacle or your molasses have completely combined and have formed something very similar to brown sugar and there you go that is
