iPhone 7 Has a BIG Problem
– Welcome to Apple. Your call may be recorded for quality assurance. So tell me, how can I help you today? – My iPhone 7 is making weird noises. – And does it get hot? – Nope, just makes an audible noise. Sounds like (loud silly starting noise) that's what it sounds like. (beep) Hey, what's up guys, Keaton here. So I posted a video yesterday talking about like my iPhone 7 experience. And like how I wasn't able to get an iPhone 7 Plus, the one that I really wanted. So a bunch of you guys hit me up on Twitter. If you're not following me on Twitter,
I'm just @Keaton. And you guys were willing to sell me your iPhone 7 Plus, which seriously, thank you so much. That makes me feel really good. But I was able to get an iPhone 7 Plus in black. I'm super stoked about it. But it has one issue. It hisses and like makes a noise. So why? So I wasn't really gonna talk about this, but I thought it'd be kind of like a fun bonus video. And I've had this phone for like maybe 16, 17 hours, and it's slowly starting to irritate me. So what's actually going on here?
Basically, there's always problems with the iPhones. Like I hate to say it, but no phone's perfect. We've seen this with like the Samsung Galaxy Note 7, and how it explodes. And we've seen this in previous iPhones. We saw it with like the iPhone 4, 4S, or nah, it was just the iPhone 4. There was that antenna problem, Antenna Gate. The iPhone 5, the paint actually came off the phone. The iPhone 6 Plus actually like, bent. If you guys remember that, drop a like on this video. And like the most recent problem with the iPhone 7 is the fact that it makes like a hissing noise when you're working this phone hard. And how this hissing actually like occurs,
Is when you are overloading the phone. So when you're opening tons of apps, just like texting really hard, or even restoring your phone like when you just get it. Those tasks really make the phone work. And like while the 7 Plus has an extra gigabyte of RAM compared to just the 7, both of these phones still have this issue and they still make a hissing noise. Let me know in the comments if you've even heard about this. Or maybe I'm just crazy, and maybe Apple just doesn't want me to be happy. Which, could be true. So whenever you're doing something
Super hard on this phone, it's gonna make a hissing noise. So for example, if I fire up YouTube here, watching a car video, I like cars. And I just play the video at like full brightness. Looks so good. It's like talking to me. You can hear a (makes stirring hissing noise) it's like I'm calling for a bird. (laughs) Yeah, you can hear it making noise. It's not like impossible. And where this actually happens is right about this like, Apple logo here. This is kind of where the processor is,
Somewhere in this area. And you can hear like a– (starting rat a tat noise) You think I'm making this up, I'm not making this up. This is actually an issue. So you can like hear it making noise. And when you really make the phone work, it kind of gets a little bit louder. All right, so we're gonna go ahead and make this phone hiss. It happens on the iPhone 7 and 7 Plus. So we're just gonna download a bunch of apps, just like a random app. Of course I dis-select the ones that I've already downloaded.
Just gonna download some random apps. Cool. NCIS, what a show. Super Mario, of course that app's not even out. We're almost out of battery. I can feel the phone getting a little slower, or it could just be me being weird. Probably a little bit of both. So we got hella apps downloading. Let's fire up YouTube here, play. Don't hiss me off. Mic's right up here. I'm gonna put it right up to the mic. Oh my, woah. (hissing sound)
Can you hear that? (hissing) It's like making a rut, tuh, tuh, tuh, tuh. (hissing) Don't hiss me off. It's hissing me off. Tim Cook, you're hissing me off. I had to go pay a ton of money for this phone, just so I could get it early for you guys since they're sold out everywhere. And maybe this is a sign that I shouldn't have an iPhone. Like nothing in the last week has gone right for me. Roota tut, tut, tut, tut, tut. What, what is going on? You can hear it, it's like,
This phone is being worked way too hard. But I have come up with a fix for you guys. Basically, you just need to apply some pressure to the backside of the phone. It helps a little bit. I wouldn't say it like clears the issue completely, but like, anything is better than having a defective phone. I guess so. Pretty much you just take rubber bands and you just kind of apply it to the top. And they'll have enough pressure on it to where it fixes it a little bit. And it's not as easy to hear. So I'm gonna put some rubber bands on my phone.
Legit, like, when I'm not putting tape on my iPhone I'm putting rubber bands on my iPhone. So, this has been a very weird year for me. That's all I will say. (chuckles) So yeah, as you can see you don't need this many rubber bands on your phone, but if you want to be like super sure, this is the best way to go about it. And as you can see, we have full access to the cameras. You can see like, right there. Got the two on the back.
We're all good there. Microphones are open. Home butt's open. Home button is open. And the best part is, like we don't have a headphone jack to worry about. So you got access to your lightning port here. This is honestly the best way to go about it. And I wouldn't be surprised if Apple starts sending packs of rubber bands out to help fix this problem in the short term. But I'm gonna show you guys this actually does make a difference. I know it's a little tricky, but I just,
I'm so tired of the hissing noise. Come on YouTube, will you open? All right, YouTube's open. (upbeat music) I mean, yeah. It makes a difference. I mean it's not completely gone, but I think like maybe like 30 40% reduced. There's a lot of math in this video. I think I'm a little too serious right now. Yeah, just apply pressure to it and you're good. So yeah, that's pretty much it. The iPhone 7 and 7 Pluses are still making noises. But like, what should I do in my case here? Should I keep this phone like the way it is?
Should I take it to Apple because they're actually replacing phones that make the noise? Or should I do like some sort of challenge like I did with the iPhone 7 challenge and just have rubber bands on my phone for like the rest of the year? Let me know in the comments below. And yeah, always something wrong. Hissing me off. So yeah, that's pretty much it for this video. If you guys made it to the end and have heard about like this hiss gate issue, drop a like on it.
And as you guys know, I respond to all your comments. And you'll end up getting in a video sooner rather than later. So I went to Twitter, since that's kind of where I'm featuring people now. If you're not following me, I'm just @Keaton over there. I'm kind of doing it on Snapchat, too. My code's right there. But Legojennett says "yo in your next video "can you give me a YouTube shout out and do a dab." Here's your shout out. There you go. That's gonna do it. If you guys are new around here, make sure you get subscribed.
Just click this button right up here. If you're on like a phone, you can tap it. You'll get subscribed. Check out my last video right here, where I said I didn't actually get the phone that I wanted. Follow me on Twitter for a shout out right over there. And make sure you turn notifications on. And yeah, I will see you guys soon. Byoom! Wait, no, hang on, hang on, hang on. Wait, no. Yah! (laughs) We're good!
