iPhone 11 Pro – THIS IS IT!
– The official invites for the iPhone event have now gone out and with just over a week left for the announcement, we already have a pretty good idea of what to expect. What's up guys, Saf here on SuperSaf TV, and let's break down all of the most recent leaks and rumors SuperSaf style.
Right, so first up, it does look like we're gonna have three new iPhones again this year, like we had last year. A successor to all of the three models. So a successor to the iPhone XR,
The XS as well as the XS Max. What these are gonna be called is still a bit of a question mark. Some rumors were saying that we're gonna be seeing an iPhone 11R, an iPhone 11, as well as an iPhone 11 Max, but recently it looks like
We might have a slightly different naming convention with the word pro in here as well. So we'd have the iPhone XR successor called the iPhone 11, and then we'd have the iPhone 11 Pro as well as the iPhone 11 Pro Max, which is definitely a mouthful.
Now, we're still not sure what these are gonna be called exactly, this is gonna be revealed next week, but we do know that there's gonna be three models. Now, what are these new iPhones gonna look like? Well, it seems like, from the front at least,
They're gonna look very similar to what we've had in previous years, so we will have that notch. The bezels might be slightly smaller, but we're gonna see an LCD display for the iPhone XR successor,
This is gonna be around 6.1 inches in size. Then for the iPhone XS successor, we're looking at the same 5.8 inch display. This is gonna be OLED. And the Max version is gonna have a 6.5 inch OLED display as well.
The back of the devices, however, is gonna be looking a little bit different, and that is because of the square camera module. This is something that has been rumored and leaked since January now, and it looks like it's all but confirmed.
The camera module may just be a black square or it might be color coded to match the back of the new devices. And for the Max version, at least, we're gonna have three different cameras. A primary, a telephoto, like we've seen in previous years,
But this time also an ultrawide. This is something that I've been waiting for for a long time, it's something that we've seen on many other smartphones, this year especially, and I'm really excited to see what Apple will do with this.
Apple is very consistent when it comes to their cameras so it'll be nice to see and compare the new iPhone 11s versus some of the others out there like the Note 10 Plus. Now this triple camera setup is also likely to be on the iPhone XS successor,
But some rumors are suggesting that this is only gonna be reserved for the Max version, which would be quite disappointing, I'd think that this would have the same camera module like we've had in previous years between the regular as well as the Max version,
But the iPhone XR successor is gonna have two cameras, so we had one last year, this year there's likely to be two. One is gonna be a primary camera, the other is gonna be the telephoto. That's what rumors are suggesting right now.
Now there's of course going to be lots of software improvements to the cameras. We're also likely to see a bump up for the front facing camera from 7 to 12 megapixels. One area that the iPhones have generally struggled in in previous years is when it comes to low light,
And the competition has gone ahead with lots of different night modes. This is something that we're likely to see on the new iPhones, too, a dedicated night mode, which should give you much better low light images. Now for the colors,
It looks like the pro iPhones at least will have similar colors to what we've got this year, however on the XR successors we are likely to see some pastel colors like we've seen on the invites. So this will be a little bit different
To what we've seen last year, and we should have a range of at least five different colors. Now, internally we are of course gonna be having the Apple A13 chip, this is gonna be super fast,
The A12 is already very, very fast as it is so the A13 is just gonna be improving on that and we're gonna be finding out exactly how much faster, whether that's 20%, 30%, compared to previous years that it's gonna be. For software, out of the box
The new iPhones are gonna be coming with iOS 13, iOS 13 beta is already on a few of the current iPhones, but it is gonna be coming out of the box for these new iPhones and we should also be seeing some improvements to Face ID. So they should be able to recognize your face
From multi angles, so maybe if it's sitting on the table. Rumors are suggesting that you are gonna be able to unlock your iPhones much quicker and more easily, but we are likely to lose 3D Touch. So, currently on the iPhone XR we don't have 3D Touch. This is replaced by more of a long press action,
And it still does work pretty well, so I don't think too many people are gonna miss 3D Touch. I personally don't think I will Now, there are some rumors that we're pointing towards Apple going for USB type C on the new iPhones, like we've got on the iPad Pros,
But this does not look likely. It looks like Apple will still be sticking to a lightning port. The good news is, however, that we should be getting a fast charger out of the box. Finally.
Now this is something that I've been complaining about for the past few years, considering how much you pay for a new iPhone, it should really come with a fast charger out of the box. This has not been the case up until this year, and it looks like we may finally be getting
Fast charging out of the box for these new iPhones, at least for the Pro models anyway. All of the new iPhones are also gonna be coming with wireless charging like we've had last year, but some rumors are saying that we might also be getting
Reverse wireless charging, so this is something that we've seen on some Wawe and Samsung devices in the past and it is quite useful, especially to charge accessories and things, and considering that the Airpods 2,
The new Airpods do have wireless charging enabled, this will be really useful to not have to carry around, or just charge one thing at one time, you can be charging your iPhone and charging your Airpods at the same time by placing those on the back of your iPhone.
And we've also had some rumors that the Pro versions of the iPhones may be supporting an Apple Pencil. Now, not the full sized Apple Pencil that's used on iPads, that would be kind of weird, but there might be a smaller Apple Pencil
That would be compatible with these iPhones. Now, for the announcement and release date, of course we do have the official invites that have gone out, so the 10th of September is gonna be the official announcement.
I will be there myself, and posting lots of updates. But for the preorder and release date, it looks like if Apple does follow the tradition that they have been doing for the past few years, the Friday of the announcement week, the 13th, is when preorders will open
With the release coming a week after on the 20th of September. Now, this may just be for the iPhone 11 Pro and the Pro Max, whatever they're gonna be called, not for the XR successor, which is likely to come a little bit later on
If we base it on what happened last year. And for pricing, it looks like Apple should be following a similar pricing structure to what we had last year with the XR successor starting at around 750 pounds or dollars,
And with the Pro models going from 1000 to 1100 pounds or dollars. And that's everything that we know about the new iPhones so far. We're just a week away to the official announcement. I will be there and I'll be posting live
On YouTube, Twitter and Instagram, so make sure you are following me on all those channels to see all of those updates first. What do you think of the new iPhone 11s based on these newest leaks and rumors? Definitely let me know in the comments below,
