Glasses That Keep You Awake?
– I don't think I've ever blinked this much in my life. Did I do it right? Hey, what's up guys? Keaton here, so I have a question. Have you guys, like, ever struggled to stay awake, whether you're doing like homework, or just like actual work? I have, and I picked up this weird product from Japan that says it'll keep you up, so does it work? So yeah guys, these things are literally insane, and before we start, make sure you guys have my notifications turned on. You can just ring that bell, do what you gotta do, and let me know in the comments that you've done it, and I'll be commenting back to you guys in like the first hour after this video goes up,
So yeah, these right here, these are called the Wink Glasses and I don't know if you can see this too well, but they have kind of this like, foggy-looking mirror, and when I first got these, guys, I thought they looked exactly like Google Glass. I had Google Glass. Let me know in the comments if anyone remembers Google Glass but it really threw me for a trip. If you guys want to check it out, the link's down below. These things are so expensive. I'm actually not happy that I bought these, and I'm a little sad. Don't even click the link. These things are so much money. So how these actually work,
Or at least what they're thinking is, when you get tired or like, are just not wanting to do stuff you don't blink as much. Like, that makes sense, right? So, what these do is they track how much you blink. Literally threw me for a trip. But they track how much you blink, so if you're starting to get tired, you're not gonna blink as much, and that's letting these glasses know that, yo, you need to start blinking more, and I hope that makes sense. At least I think it makes sense. So, this mirror right here gets foggy when you're not blinking, so to not have it be foggy
And to actually like, see clearly, you blink, and then you're good to go. It's pretty weird. I'm just gonna show you guys how this works, 'cause I know, that was a lot and you're probably confused. So let me power this on and show you guys. So right now you can see that it's foggy, and when I flip the switch, it instantly goes clear. So basically when you hook this up, it's on right now. You guys can see that it's clear. I'm gonna try my hardest not to blink. I've been trying this all day. My eyes are burning, so hang on. I'm gonna try not to blink. All right, you see it's foggy?
So if I blink, it goes away, or like, it should work like that, and you shouldn't have to think about blinking. What? Okay, so here we go. Driving a truck or whatever, you blink. All right, I can see totally clearly now. Drive drive drive drive drive drive drive drive, so as long as you're like blinking, you're good and it's not gonna get foggy, so that's so, like, strange, I know, but it's supposed to tell the glasses that you're awake, you're alert, you're doing your thing, and if you stop blinking, you're either dead or you're tired.
Did that make sense? So let me just give you one more demo. So basically, I'm reading my magazine here. You know, nice, can see everything, and it fogs up. So, all you do is blink. I'm not gonna, I can't, that doesn't really work from here, so as long as you just tap it, it becomes clear again, and it basically tracks the movements in your eyes or at least that's what the site is saying, so when I put 'em on, I blink, everything's clear again and I can go back to reading my magazine, so as long as you're blinking, you're good. So with these glasses, this part right here fogs up every five seconds,
And according to the web site where I got these, they say guys blink every three seconds and girls blink every four seconds. I don't really know. Let me know in the comments if you know that's true or not. The thing is like, you can't think about it, 'cause like blinking's natural, unless you're like one of these people that's like, "I'm gonna blink now." I don't really know. I don't think that's true, but I'm not gonna blink here, and now I just blinked and we're good. This is such a trip video. Like, I don't even know anymore. All right, real talk here,
I don't really know, like, how I feel about this. Once you see the price, you're gonna be like, "Did you really just buy this?" Yes. I don't know if I like, I like it, because half the time, it doesn't like pick up my blinks. I know, welcome to 2017, where you need to actually think about how hard you blink and when you blink. Like, if I was driving like a semi for example, I wouldn't want something fogging my vision up. Like, I would just wanna take this off and rock the sexy glasses look, but like now that it's on, sometimes, can you get on for a second?
Thank you. Sometimes, like I'll just be chilling, like, you know, just doing my thing or whatever, not blinking, and then I just blinked there and it didn't pick it up. I just blinked again, just again. You have to like, really like go hard on the blink, like, what is going on? So yeah, the stay awake blink glasses, I don't really know how to feel. Like, if anything, it's just making me force my blinks. I don't think that's what we're supposed to do as humans, but that's 2017. So yeah guys, that's pretty much it for this video. Thanks so much Sita for watching
And being this video's notification shout out. If you guys want a shout out, just make sure you ring that bell and comment down below saying you've done it. Get subscribed to my channel if you're new. I've gotta blink. And tweet me @techsmartt if you guys find anything else weird. My eyes hurt, so I'm gonna go. Peace. I just posted a new video, and it's okay if you guys don't like tech, but can you guys go look and tell me if you see this too? How? How is this possible?
