Galaxy M51 or the OnePlus Nord? Full Comparison.

So the galaxy m51 and the nord both have a starting price of about 25 000 rupees and they both come from great brands and so people want to know which phone they should get well let me help you out with that if you look at the specifications the node is clearly a better performing phone from speed and gaming perspective the m51 however is a battery monster and in general offers more features than the nord so let's hash it out from a hardware perspective first but before we move on it'll be great if you could drop a like hit the subscribe button and that bell icon and help me

Grow my channel and now let's move on now if you just take performance into perspective the oneplus note is slightly ahead of the m51 it's not a whole lot better but nevertheless it's better and with oxygen os it does feel a little more snappier and in terms of memory the m51 allows you to add another 512 gigs of storage using microsd card and for the same price the m51 offers twice the internal memory at 128 gb talking about the display i think the oneplus note has a clear advantage i

Mean both are very similar in terms of brightness and color reproduction and the m51 may offer a slightly larger screen but it's the 90 hertz refresh rate that smooth experience that you get with the nord and you just cannot get that in the m51 with the 60 hertz refresh rate so from a display point of view the noid wins even from a display protection point of view you've got gorilla glass 3 which is an old gen girl glass protection on the m51 and the back is plastic which is

Quite prone to scratches i mean i already have one that's not going away but the one plus not that i've had for a longer time is protected using gorilla glass 5 both on the front and the back and as you can see there are no scratches the m51 also has a built-in fm radio if that's something you're interested in and it does have the 3.5 mm headphone jack that the oneplus note does not have so that could be pretty important for some people and the

Biggest difference where the m51 simply walks away with the cake is the 7 000 milliampere hour battery that's a huge battery capacity and the fact that you can use it as a power bank to pretty much charge any other device using reverse charging that's phenomenal and now let's talk about the cameras both of them have a quad camera setup but the m51 can boast of better specifications it's got a larger primary lens at 64 megapixel and a larger ultra white lens at 12 megapixel

The depth sensors are both at five megapixel and it's even got a bigger macro lens at five megapixel compared to the two megapixel on the note now i did take some photos for comparison and here they are in front of you side to side i think the oneplus camera can take more natural looking photos but the m51 can take better dynamic range and more detail when compared to the oneplus note even when it comes to the ultra wide i think the m51

Simply blows away the nord's capabilities i mean it's got a 12 megapixel lens which is anyway larger and the dynamic range is far superior in my opinion on the m51 and here are some portrait shots that i took while the edge detection is great in both i think the oneplus note has slightly sharper images and while personally i feel it's not a big deal but the nord can shoot 60fps videos at 1080p resolution and the m51 can't so from a performance experience standpoint the oneplus nord definitely

Outperforms the m51 and if performance is of much higher priority to you along with that 90 hertz smooth display experience the nod should be the way to go but a phone is not just about performance it's about a holistic experience you know the camera the design the features the software updates the customer support it's everything together now 5g could be an important consideration given that it's expected to come next year the nord has it the m51 does not

Have it so i personally might feel a little stupid to not have a 5g compatible phone when in fact 5g is available but you've got a lot more battery capacity in the m51 twice as big base internal storage ability to expand storage by up to 512 gigs using microsd card a bigger display better cameras both front and back and you can use the m51 as a power bank and charge other devices i mean there is a lot happening on the galaxy m51 for the same price as the

Oneplus note and so what you have to see is if all these features i just talked about are they more important to you than slightly better performance or a 90 hertz display or 5g and if they are then m51 might be the way to go it's not an exact science you know different people have different expectations or priorities from a smartphone and so what you have to see is basis everything i just said what is more important to you and

Accordingly you take that decision from a design perspective i find the knot better personally in terms of appearance and sturdiness it's got thinner bezels it's lighter in weight and a more elegant design you know it's got a glass build and it's gorilla glass 5 which is stronger than the gorilla glass 3 on the m51 now since it's thinner it's lighter and smaller in size i find it easier to use with just one hand now to be fair the m51 does have a 7000

Mah battery so the phone has to be bigger it has to be thicker it has to weigh more to adjust for that 7000 mah battery so as i said personally i prefer the noid but it's really commendable how samsung has been able to put in a 7 000 milliamp hour battery and still keep the phone decently sized and coming to the software i think the m51 does have an upper hand with samsung's one ui 2.1 for example you get always on display which is always on unlike an oxygen os it only shows when

You tap or you get notification in m51 there is automatic switching between the light and the dark mode that is you can set up a custom schedule or basis sunrise and sunset but on the oneplus you have to always manually switch between the themes and talking about themes while the oneplus does allow you to change icon packs there just aren't enough themes you know you have to go to your tones and all you can do is change between white and dark but on the m51 you know you can just go

To the galaxy store the theme store and there are hundreds of free and paid themes that you can install on the go just like that and then there's dolby atmos for much improved sound experience both while watching videos or playing music or even playing games there is nearby share for very easy file sharing between two devices um and then you know there's stuff like quick share that allows you to again transfer files there is music share so you can play music from two devices at the same time and all of these are

Missing in the one plus node now i'm not saying that all of these are useful it just means that there are higher chances that more of you are satisfied with software features in the galaxy m51 with the one ui 2.1 than you would be with the oxygen os on the node okay so now which phone would i go for well this is tricky because i would still go for the oneplus nord despite all the features and the belgian vessels and the incredible value for money

The m51 brings to table and the reason is simple for me performance is of much higher priority for example let's say over battery because i don't have any battery anxiety i know i will be able to charge it anywhere everywhere so for me i'm a sucker for performance i really like that snappy performance that 90 hertz display that fluid experience is very important to me and i just prefer lighter smaller devices that are easy to use

With just one hand because i'm on the phone a lot but i'm talking to people i'm not consuming media so for me one hand use is very important and i also think that 5g would be something i would really be looking forward to when it comes if it comes next year i don't want to have a phone that does not have 5g so yeah oneplus not would be the way that i would go so to conclude if you want a more holistic phone with a good balance of performance camera features you know expandable

Storage reverse charging the biggest meanest battery ever and an incredible value for money the m51 is a clear choice but if you're like me and you want to snap your performance and 5g and that 90 hertz fluid display the nod is a clear choice in that case so yeah that's it from me guys on the m51 versus the oneplus knot if you've got any questions feel free to drop them in the comment section below and as always don't forget to drop a like hit that subscribe button and that bell icon

I'll see you guys in the next one
