Dell Inspiron 15 7591 Review

by birtanpublished on November 26, 2020

This is Lisa from mobile tech review and this is the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 specifically this 75 91 model came out in late 2019 still being sold now in 2020 in the spring and if anything I would call this a sort of sleep or a laptop why because it's around thousand dollars thousand and fifty dollars for this particular high-end configuration but you've got the chops of an entry level gaming laptop and something that looks cool stay nice magnesium alloy casing pretty rigid built so no gamer looks here so it's a good dual purpose laptop you're looking something that can handle some video but 4k video editing

You're learning to do blender or renders for college whatever it is we're gonna look at it now but first before we continue a shout-out to our sponsor PDF element made by wondershare PDF element is an all-in-one smart PDF editor it offers the easiest way to create edit convert annotate and sign PDF documents on windows and Macs both PDF element is the best Acrobat alternative and a simple PDF editor to maximize your documents productivity you can edit PDFs of any kind including forms and you can use it for things like collaboration and commenting with teams

Share a PDF for example it supports converting from several formats to and from both so for example you have a word document you want to turn it into a PDF and I'll maintain the formatting and even the tables and can export to other formats to even things like a pub an image and powerpoints so it's quite versatile in that respect and the speed is pretty good on it as well cost you less than an acrobat subscription from Adobe – it also supports protected PDFs and you can even do things like reacting stuff on your PDFs be sure to follow the link in the

Description to get 50% off from every news that link and now back to our video so it's not easy to claw your way to the top get it alright it's a thousand and fifty dollars for this top and line model which is a core i7 nation 97 to 58 your typical six core 45 watt CPU that you'll find in mobile workstations and gaming laptops both and NVIDIA GTX 1050 with three gigs of gddr5 vram and there is an entry-level model with a core i5 CPU and just integrated graphics that one is $800 so obviously this one's a little bit more interesting if you're looking for some graphical lumps now

Dell says that they also had a gtx 1650 model i have not seen that on their website and a 4k display option this one has a full HD display but it's a very good one it's matte IPS it's non untouched but the brightness on this and the contrast and overall color balance gamma stuff like that is all really good on this so it happens to be pretty good usually with laptops that you're paying you know for the horsepower like with this one with good CPU and the GPU the display is often the one with the weak sauce kind of specs on it and looking and so this one is good it's pretty

Light too I'm considering the fact that this is an apostille XPS 15 or something like that's four point one two pounds which is one point eight seven kilograms magnesium alloy does help to keep the weight down it's also very upgradable which is nice we will take a look at the internal so the world is your oyster in fact this particular model ships with a 512 gig MDOT two nvme SSD there's also a hard drive back and there are two RAM slots for $1,050 you get eight gigs of ram as a single ddr4 2666 megahertz module the first thing that you should do and this is what we did is go out and

Get yourself another 8 gig module right now they're cheap they're like $25 it's very easy to put in and you'll get dual channel ram performance which holds significantly up to frame rates in some games and just your overall performance not just in benchmarks but in real life doing work and I'm gonna steer probably a little performance oriented if you're looking at this laptop the laptop has a white back lid keyboard which is almost unfortunate because it's a light silver magnesium alloy casing with light silver keys so that white masking lights up and it's actually kind of hard to see in low

To mid lean line I often end up tearing it off instead oh well I'm not the keyboard feels pretty good though it's nice and it's got good firm resistance when you press down on the keys and feels crisp not mushy that's an average travel for a laptop these days which is to say not capacious like an old fashioned thing pad but not as we are in short as a Dell XPS fifteen for example if I Microsoft precision track then onboard obviously works just fine and ports on this are pretty good and gets under ball three it's a USBC style connector does USB see

As well three USB a 3.1 ports an HDMI 2.0 port headphone jack of course in a micro SD card slot so reasonable connectivity for a machine like this and when we have USB seats on their bald three anything else in the world that's pretty much possible for Wi-Fi we have an Intel 95/60 AC card that's not Wi-Fi six but in this price category that's okay and oh yeah Bluetooth five and it is a socket and card so you can upgrade that in the future if you wish to now adele says they've improved the cooling and the ventilation the way it exits out the back and it is a pretty involved

Instead of vents that are there you've got two heat pipes for the cooling copper of course and good four corner heatsink mounts on this reasonably sized fans obviously this GPU isn't gonna get things too super hot inside so that's a good thing unlike all laptops today with an Intel ninth generation CPU if you're pushing it hard in benchmarks like fire strike or if you're gaming you can get the CPU temperatures up into the 80s if not the 90s centigrade and 100 is allowable maximum it's par for the course the fans you will hear them if you're doing

Something like something like playing over watching and you can see me doing that a frame rates are just fine on it's perfect for things like overwatch an apex and it's that sort of thing you will hear the fans you might want to use headphones they really work hard at keeping it cool and they're fairly successful GPU temperatures are not an issue at all and in terms of performance not just apex and overwatch which are kind of on the lightweight and this capable of doing heavier duty gaming if you want to play call of duty

The latest warzone battle royale you can do that pretty much any game if it's the most demanding of games that just came out in 2019 to 2020 you know you might not be going in very high ultra depending on the game or for most games you can certainly do medium if not high so not bad then especially considering that you're running a full HD resolution with that building display and it's a 60 Hertz refresh it's not a high-end gaming laptop with 144 hurts from refresh display you know all sorts of other stuff productivity things would be in Excel or

Number analysis business financial sort of things like I said blender or CAD for school it can certainly handle that so it's all sounding pretty good right so you got a 130 watch yard you're not the smallest not the lightest thing to carry but it could be worse like a gaming laptop power brick that's even heavier but we have a 56 watt hour battery you can do about as well with the Dell XPS 13 and this one obviously has a much more demanding CPU and GPU inside some it does have switchable graphics via Nvidia Optimus so it can use the Intel UHD 630 integrated graphics when you're

Not pushing it really hard but don't expect this to be an energizer bunny when you're away from the outlet depending what you're doing say light to moderate productivity work taking notes in class that sort of stuff then you might be able to do about five hours and that's pretty much yeah and that's what brightness sets at 150 minutes to take off the bottom cover unscrew Phillips head screws they are all visible the the metals a little on the soft side these screws so use care when you take it off so you don't strip them work your way around the edges

Towards the front and then pull up because the back has a kind of tenacious and a rubbery plastic wrap around area here it's not that hard but just be mindful enough here's our nice metal cover and inside we see upgradable heaven we have an Ikea style hard drive bay no hard drive in here but they have the screws taped on cable is taped to the underside of the mylar cover here should you want to put in conventional two-and-a-half inch hard drive or SSD we have two RAM slots here and again the base model has eight gigs of RAM so we upgraded ours for our benchmark test to

See how well I could do about this is what it's like from the factory very easy obviously to upgrade that yourself and well worth it you can probably get a matching eight gig module for $20 $25 maybe and you don't get significant performance improvement for total channel 56 watt hour battery that's pretty sad capacity and this is where it doesn't exactly compete with the XPS 15 which is cuz they're really more expensive we have a socketed Wi-Fi card and we have an m2 SSD drive bay which is boot drive here metal cover covering enlists lift it up a little and in ours

They actually use a shorty drive instead of taking up the full bag it's a 512 gig nvme SSD obviously this is upgradable as well so that's the Dell Inspiron 15 7000 again specifically there's 75 91 model and this has the Intel ninth generation CPUs and NVIDIA GTX 1050 graphics so and if you're looking for something that has kind of adult staid looks that you can take anywhere it kind of nice clean modern bezels aren't too big not like a gaming laptop but has the performance of an entry level gaming laptop particularly if you go ahead and you upgrade that Ram

Yourself or even order that upgrade when you're ordering from Dell well you could do well with this unleash your mobile tech review be sure to subscribe to our YouTube channel for more cool tech videos and hit that notification bell do subscribe
