ASUS STRIX AURA MAGNUS! What on Earth is it?
Oh is this ringing at this time of night hello yo is that more consultant tech if you're number one hater I hate you so much your setup is working everything you do is whack I see you trying to get RGB sound boss RGB keyboards RGB mode RGB graphics cards we all set up is work because you're missing one thing an RGB microphone what's up guys it's mark from southern tech RGB is everywhere pcs monitors even gaming chairs and sound bars and you all knew it was coming at some point yes
Ladies and gentlemen an RGB microphone a Susa release the asus rog Strix magnus ora priced at 199 pounds and in the US unfortunately I couldn't find it listed anywhere but I'd imagine it would be around 200 US dollars and it has been quite a quiet launched from a Zeus the USB condenser microphone certainly looks the part with a whole host of features that would be great for streamers as well as content creators such as myself checking out the packaging like always from a soos it's high-quality and they always deliver a great unboxing experience inside the box of course you
Get the normal instruction manual and warranty information but what really grabbed my attention was the super slick pouch that doubles up as a carrying case inside the pouch surprisingly there isn't much at all there's the microphone and extremely thick USB cable it's only 1.5 meters in length although you could probably switch it out for a longer USB 3.0 cable lastly there's an adapter which screws into the bottom of the microphone making it compatible with Stan supporting a 5/8 fret taking a look at the dials and switches on the left-hand side there's an auxilary input
A microphone volume dial a USB hub ports and lastly a switch that toggles between three different modes firstly cardioid that picks up sound from the front of the microphone stereo mode that's great when multiple people are in the room for interviews and lastly ence this mode helps you cancel out background noise with noise cancellation check it out the right side firstly there's a microphone mute switch and switch right next to that the controls that RGB lighting the mic even has its own headphone doll that pairs up with a 3.5 millimeter headphone inputs that's
Great for monitoring your microphone levels in real time and lastly a USB 3.0 connection that powers the whole device just note you need to plug this mic into a USB 3 port on your computer to have all of these features available checking out the Auris software the Strix Magnus has rather basic effects such as color static breathing color cycle and lastly it can sync up with any music playing on your PC just in case you feel like a bit of a disco there's also the option to sync it up with any other or a compatible devices although it can get it to sync up with my Strix x99
Motherboard or any of my Strix 1080i graphics cards unfortunately lastly most importantly the sound quality of this microphone is excellent although it needs to be paired up with a decent stands and it's a shame for the price they don't include one in the Box noise cancellation works well helping to drown out keyboard and mouse clutter overall is a great all-in-one solution for voiceovers I use my Audio Technica 20:35 paired up my focus right scarlett solo and although I do prefer that for voiceovers regarding streaming I would probably prefer using the Magnus just
Because it has great noise cancellation and comparing the two I think the Magnus is actually a better all-in-one solution if you're wondering why I haven't done a sound test with this microphone yet and I'm about to drop the bomb it's because you've been listening to my voice through the Magnus this whole video and I think you'll agree it sounds pretty good the final award for the Magnus is going to be a tough one if it was priced around 150 UK pounds or 150 US dollars I would have given it a platinum award no trouble at all and dubbed it the ultimate of streaming mark
Earn but because of the coastal price of 200 UK pounds and I'll imagine in the u.s. 200 US dollars is only going to be getting a gold award nevertheless it's an excellent microphone and I'm hoping Asus released a more budget-friendly one in the future anyway guys and girls I hope you've enjoyed the review my name is Mark from Sol ins tech goodbye
